i-tec MySafe USB 3.0 Easy is the external enclosure for connecting 2.5″ SATA disks of all capacities to your PC, notebook, TV or other multimedia device via USB interface, through which is also powered. The enclosure is also suitable for moving data from a damaged notebook. Connecting via USB 3.0 offers easy and high-speed data transfer (up to 5 Gbps). Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 is a commonplace.

The box connects a 2.5″ HDD or SSD to any PC, laptop, TV or gaming console. Using a USB-C adapter (U31TYPEC), you can also connect the box to OTG compatible mobile devices featuring this new port. The box is compatible with all types of OS including Linux and Android.
The HDD/SSD box requires no complicated driver installation. Just plug it in and the OS will install itself.
The box is compatible with all 2.5″ HDDs and SSDs with a height of up to 9.5 mm. Taller drives can be connected as well, although only to the connector, without the protective case.
The box is ingeniously designed and allows 2 basic methods of use: 1. as a permanent external drive with mechanical protection in the form of a case made of sturdy, transparent plastic. 2. if you only need to connect the drive temporarily or frequently unplug it, the drive can be connected through a SATA connector. This method connects SSDs/HDDs taller than 9.5 mm
Although the box offers wide variety of uses and a sophisticated design, it is very attractively priced so that it is affordable to anyone who needs to connect their internal 2.5″ drive externally.

FAQ
Question: The frame is not detected by the operating system.
Answer: Try connecting the device to another USB/Thunderbolt port (according to the frame type)
Question: The HDD is not visible in the system.
Answer: Make sure the HDD is formatted. Especially for a brand-new drive. You will find this information in the disk manager located in the device manager. You can also format the HDD here.
Notice! The formatting function always deletes the data. Therefore, back up your data before starting the drive formatting.
