FAQ
Question: Can I use the DockMate software with operating systems other than Windows 10/11?
A: Unfortunately, the DockMate software is only compatible with Windows 10 and 11. It is not designed to work with other operating systems.
Question: I cannot install the DockMate software on my Windows 10/11 laptop.
A: Please ensure that you have administrative privileges on your laptop, as installation requires them. Also, make sure that all Windows updates are installed. For further assistance, please contact our support team at support@itecproduct.com.
Question: The docking station is not detected by the DockMate software.
A:
· Ensure you are using one of the supported intelligent docking station models: C31INTGTRI4KDOCPD, CAINTGDUAL4KDOCPD, or TB4INTGDUAL4KDOCPD. Other i-tec docking stations are not compatible with the DockMate software.
· Make sure the docking station is properly connected to the laptop.
· The DockMate software requires an Ethernet connection. Ensure an Ethernet cable is connected to the docking station’s LAN port for it to be detected.
· For further assistance, please contact our support team at support@itecproduct.com.
Question: The intelligent docking station is detected by the DockMate software but cannot be added to the DockMate software.
A: This usually indicates that the docking station is currently managed by a different DockMate installation. To resolve this, perform a factory reset: hold the ON/OFF button for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts blinking rapidly. Once it begins blinking, press the ON/OFF button once to complete the reset.
Question: The DockMate software allows adding only two intelligent docking stations to the management. How can I add more?
A: The free version of DockMate supports management of up to two intelligent docking stations. To add more, you will need to purchase an extended license. To buy licenses, please contact your professional IT solutions and services provider, or reach out to i-tec Technologies (www.i-tec.pro/dockmate).
Question: The intelligent docking station was added to the DockMate software, but its status is shown as offline.
A: This indicates that the docking station is not currently connected to the network. Please check that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the docking station.
Question: The firmware update was not successful.
A: To resolve this issue, perform a factory reset: press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts blinking rapidly. Once it begins blinking, press the ON/OFF button once more to complete the reset. After the reset is complete, try updating the docking station’s firmware again.
Question: The DockMate software does not detect the exact model of connected USB devices or external monitors.
A: The DockMate software cannot identify the specific models of connected USB devices or monitors. It can only detect whether a particular port is currently in use.
Question: The DockMate software does not shut down idle docking stations even when the energy-saving feature is enabled.
A: For the energy-saving feature to work correctly, the docking station must be disconnected from the laptop.
Question: Can I manage the docking stations with the DockMate software from a different network?
A: No, the DockMate software must be installed and used within the same local network as the docking stations intended for management. Remote management over different networks is not supported
Question: I cannot control ports on the TB4INTGDUAL4KDOCPD, why is that?
A: Unfortunately, the design of the Thunderbolt interface does not support this type of port management functionality.
