USB Charging
Quick Charge
Technology used for quickly charging mobile devices via USB. Quick Charge must be supported by both the device and the charger. Quick Charge allows switching from the standard 5 V to a different voltage (e.g. 3 to 20 V) – thus allowing delivery of up to 27 W.
Fast Charge (BC 1.2)
By default, USB 3.0 is capable of delivering 4.5 W. If the USB also features BC 1.2 (Battery Charging 1.2) technology, it is capable of delivering up to 7.5 W or even 12 W if the port is connected to the main power circuit. These wattages ensure the connected device is charged faster.
